About the Author
Asale Angel-Ajani is the author of the novel A Country You Can Leave and the nonfiction book Strange Trade: The Story of Two Women Who Risked Everything in the International Drug Trade. Born in California, she now lives in New York City. Her work exploring themes of race, gender, and social justice has appeared in Lit Hub, The Rumpus, Electric Literature, and other literary publications.
