Julia Laurel is a graphic designer, illustrator, and desert-dwelling outdoor adventurer from Scottsdale, Arizona. She writes speculative fiction that explores strange places, queer romances, and trauma-informed horror, always with a bit of humor. An Embodiment of Souls is her debut novel.
