About the Author

Francine Shapiro, PhD, is the originator and developer of EMDR therapy, the director of the EMDR Institute, and a senior research fellow, emerita, at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto, California. Her work has enabled hundreds of thousands of clinicians to treat millions of patients worldwide in the last thirty years.

Margot Silk Forrest is a writer and independent book editor living in Morro Bay, California.
