A luxely packaged book that captures the allure and backstage commotion of 1990s Paris haute couture fashion shows with intimate photographs by Kevin Merrill.

The 1990s was a formative decade in fashion that has informed designers’ collections for years to come. Runway is a behind-the-scenes look at the Paris fashion scene at this time, curated from photographer Kevin Merrill’s personal archives. Highlighting the perspective of a bystander in the shadows, these candid black and white photographs from Paris Haute Couture Week between 1993 and 2000 present a highly stylized documentation of the heyday of supermodels. With a foreword from Cindy Crawford and peppered with quotes from other prominent designers and models including Karl Lagerfeld, Valentino, Christian Lacroix, Yves Saint Laurent, Nadja Auermann, and Naomi Campbell, this stunning volume immerses readers in one of the most exciting eras of fashion—and one that endures today.
